We currently monitor both the Google and Yandex Safe Browsing databases. These databases include websites that are flagged for viruses or phishing scams, based on data gathered by Google and Yandex as they index websites across the Internet.

These databases are then used by web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) to warn end-users that the site they’re about to visit could be harmful to them, and suggest that they do not visit the site.

You’ve probably run into this error page yourself at some point:

Every day, thousands of websites on the Internet are added to, and removed from these databases, often due to bugs found in common website software (like WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, or others), and often exist on websites for months or years without the owners knowledge.

According to Google, as of June 2012, around 600 million Internet users were using this service.

If you have a website on the Internet, RBLTracker will notify you immediately if your site is compromised and ends up listed in one of these Safe Browsing databases.
