Monitoring Profiles let you configure the time your checks are processed, the frequency of checks, and the data sources used when monitoring your hosts.
Monitoring Profiles are then assigned to Hosts to control how that host is monitored. You can create multiple Monitoring Profile, which lets you monitoring groups of hosts more aggressively than other hosts.
Clicking on the Data Sources section of a Monitoring Profile lets you configure the data sources used to monitor your hosts. This lets you ignore sources that you may not be interested in:
Staying in Sync
By default, data sources used on Monitoring Profiles will be curated by us. We will regularly add and remove data sources, as new options become available, and existing sources become unavailable.
The synchronization method drop down at the top of the page lets you configure how you’d like to stay in sync:
- Stay in-sync with us – (default) this profile will use the list of data sources as we curate them, with no customizations.
- Use my selections exactly – you’ll be able to exclude data sources from this profile, but you won’t receive any updates from us as we update our default configuration.
